  6.  A classic board / pen and paper game that everyone must have play sometime
  7. or another lovingly put together for your Amiga.But just in case you are an
  8. Alien from the planet Xeneonx or some place like that, this simple document
  9. should help you get the most out of this all time favorite.

  13.                      ALL CONTROL IS THROUGH YOUR MOUSE
  14.  
  15.  which basically means that you place your ships where you would like them
  16. by pointing to the grid and clicking the LEFT MOUSE BUTTON. To rotate your
  17.                ships you simply press the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON

  23.                The main menu screen offers you the choice of
  24.                    1 PLAYER, 2 PLAYER, 4 PLAYER or QUIT

  28.                                1 PLAYER GAME

  30.         There are two choices awaiting single player and those are
  31.  
  32.          1 PLAY AGAINST THE COMPUTER IN A CLASSIC BATTLESHIP GAME

  34.             HUNT THE COMPUTER for the faint hearted among you
  35.     who would rather not have nasty shells damaging your shinny ships.

  42.                                2 PLAYER GAME

  44.  The only option is to play against a friend or someone you dislike maybe.

  46.   Sorry but you will just have to turn your head when your opponents are
  47. placing their ships and of course they most do the same.. NO PEEKING NOW!!

  54.                                4 PLAYER GAME
  55.                              Mega  BattleShips

  57.  In this game you can have upto 4 human players playing head to head or if
  58.  you are alone but still want a good challenge then you can go up against
  59.    3 computer controlled players. You can of course have 1, 2 or 3 other
  60.   humans and make up the 4 players mode, with computer controlled players
  61.  
  62.  Again if you are playing human opponents, you will have to take turns at
  63.        hiding your eyes while each player in turn places their ships
  64.  
  65.                 As the four player option name may suggest
  66.                            ( Mega BattleShips )
  67.  
  68.             there are a few little extras built into this game.
  69. You will notice that after placing your ships, you will be presented with a
  70. menu full of NEW IMPROVED WEAPONS to choose from, these can be purchased if
  71.       you have enough money and maybe tip the balance in your favour.

  75.                              THESE WEAPONS ARE
  76.  
  77. SINGLE SHOT            Only 1 shell fired at a time which can still sink
  78.              ships...
  79.  
  80. BIG BOMB        Only 1 shell, but its a big one and can sink ships 
  81.             in the grid positions to left, right, above & below
  82.             target area.
  83.  
  84. BOUNCING BOMB        A single shell that will bounce across, up/down the
  85.             grid hitting alternative grid squares.
  86.  
  87. TORPEDO            Just as the name suggests, this missile will travel
  88.             in the direction it is pointed until it hits 
  89.             anything in its way.
  90.  
  91. EXOCETS            Very similar actions to a torpedo, but this missile
  92.             will continue on the chosen course even after
  93.             hitting a target
  94.  
  95. TWIN TORPEDOS        This  weapon is the same as its  little brother the
  96.             torpedo but as its name suggests, two torpedos are 
  97.             launched one after another,  running alongside each
  98.             other in the grid along the chosen path.
  99.  
  100. TRIPLE TORPEDOS        This is one worth saving for... Same action as its
  101.             little relatives, but with three torpedos launched
  102.             one after the other along the chosen path.
  103.  
  104. DOUBLE EXOCET        The ultimate in destruction, launch this missile
  105.             and anything that stands in its way is history. 
  106.             Two Exocets are launched one after the other along
  107.             the desired flight paths.
  108.  
  109. When aiming these various weapons, all control is again with the mouse and
  110.      both buttons, after pointing to the desired target with mouse....

  112.      LEFT MOUSE = FIRE WEAPON         RIGHT BUTTON = ROTATE DIRECTION

  118.              THATS THE GOOD NEWS.....   NOW THE BAD NEWS.....

  122. You may find that from time to time you come across an innocent WHALE just
  123. going about his business and not bothering a sole or should that be soul...
  124. So if you accidentally happen to hit one of these bastian of the sea, expect 
  125. to have to face the consequences.

  127. Maybe GREENPEACE was close on hand.... If so expect some kind of action to
  128. be taken against any offenders
  129.  
  130. But even if they don't catch up with you they will almost definitely have
  131. reported you to the INTERNATIONAL WHALING COMMISSION and the least you can
  132. expect is a heavy fine....
